10/10! The food is absolutely delicious! The food is flavorful, made fresh to order. The lasagna had red and white sauce. The meat was well cooked. Honestly hands down best Italian in Albuquerque! We will be back for some more

My husband found this place on social media and we decided to try it out on date night. It's right next to the UNM Campus and their food is delicious! The service was fast and friendly. They have a good amount of seating! We will definitely be back!

We wanted pasta the second night in Albuquerque and we tried out this place as it had great reviews on Yelp. First of all, they do not serve any alcoholic beverages. If you want a glass of wine to go with your pasta, then this is not the place. They have soft drinks and Italians sodas. Secondly, the portion size is very generous for the price. Third, it was very family friendly restaurant. The pastas were decent. My husband's pasta bolo ( beef and pork) were pretty good. My shrimp scampi was really bland with more sauce than I would like. I had to add quite a bit of salt and pepper and crushed peppers to adjust the flavor. I don't recommend this dish. My MIL loved her chicken marsala. She did said the chicken was tender and juicy.

The best Basil Tortellini I've had in a long time! The creamy sauce had just the right amount of basil, with meaty, sliced mushrooms, and a huge portion was served. The waiter was eccellente! The restaurant is classic Italian, from the tablecloths to the soft music playing in the background. Il Localetto Rossi is a nice change from the typical Albuquerque fare.

Stopped in one day for lunch with coworkers. Cozy environment and kind waitress. The food did take a bit longer , since they cooked it on the spot . I would go back for the pork chop it was delicious. The music was an added bonus

First time here. I love pasta. I'm often disappointed by pasta lacking flavor.. That was not my experience at Il Localetto Rossi! There was sooooo much flavor. The service was fantastic and the food was just as amazing. The portions were good and out was affordable. Please don't miss this place! The mushroom sauce on the marsala was sooooooo good. They were accommodating of my request for no bacon on the carbonara. A nice little gem near the university!

Add another voice to the chorus: Il Localetto Rossi is wonderful. (And I'm a Southern Italian food snob.) I've been twice - supper and lunch. Prices are fair, portions are large (but not overly so), the room is comfortable, attractively decorated and there are tasteful (NOT cheesy) theme-appropriate tunes playing, parking is easy in their lot and the service is some of the best in town, friendly and always in motion (although the weak spot seems to be they are a bit skimpy on front-of-the-house staff, which sometimes means it'll take a minute before the hustling server can get to you once the place gets hopping). The food - every bite of it that I've had - is delicious and perfectly prepared. Wow. The pork chop and gnocchi were especially noteworthy. I noted that both lunch and early supper started out slow but the room really filled up. I'd recommend reservations for later times or getting in early to enjoy the most spectacular service before the crowd files in.

This place just opened and I was already hearing a lot of good things. It lived up to the hype! I got a cup of vegetarian tomato bisque, which was so delicious and creamy and made me want to be able to recreate it at home. My entree was the tortelloni, which also has so much flavor and richness and really hit the spot. I even enjoyed the blue cheese. The place is small and they asked if we had a reservation upon arrival but were able to seat us. This was surprising at 5:30, so I recommend making a reservation. As of a couple weeks ago they didn't have alcohol yet but were waiting on their liquor license. Staff was busy and didn't get to come around often, but it worked out. They were friendly.

So far, I'm already in love! I'm real time writing this review. Quaint bistro style restaurant that is meant to be a romantic spot, so I'm here with my favorite person, ME! One drawback, no wine ., YET (it will be coming!). But nevertheless, it did not deter me from reviewing the menu. The menu is small, which is what I LOVE, as that means they are good at each dish and I'm not being served some frozen piece on the 15th page of the menu! They had a special trial of blackberry crustini with burrata, balsamic glaze and basil, yes please. It was the sweet and savory that everyone wants! I actually want a second plate, don't judge me! Next course, I had a tough decision because I truly want it all! I gave my waitress two options that I was thinking about and I'm waiting for my surprise! The waitress is so sweet and quite on point, doesn't bother too much and shows up at the perfect time! Gnocchi has won the toss up. It's pan seared, which really give it some oomph and a very nice texture. It's not the typical mushy gnocchi, which is why I was drawn to it. . The truffle oil is subtle and oh so nice! It had the perfect amount of garlic and pepper to round it out! It's a big portion, so 1/2 will be coming home with me! I am happy that they have paper cartons and are not styrofoam users for take out! That is very refreshing! Will definitely be back to continue to make my way down the menu! Lots of yumminess that I'm already planning! Okay, now to dessert, yep, I'm treating myself! Cheesecake was the selection du jour, the salted caramel crust was my deciding factor! It is a slice of cheesecake with a crème brûlée cracking coating, yep, YUM!
